Working with The Good Rock Foundation,
a small British charity set by Jacquie Shurr, this is an SGS team
effort to sponsor one or more Chinese babies.
This is
a wonderful opportunity for we SGS-ers to make a real difference
to the lives of these delightful children.
The Good Rock
Foundation is a charity devoted to caring for orphaned and unwanted
children in China. Jacquie says: "We make a tangible difference
because we look at the needs of individual children and address
them in a personal and relevant way. We respect the culture and
rich heritage of China and our aid is backed up by local support
and training."
Jacquie began the charity after travelling
to China to adopt her daughter Abigail.
The babies are fostered with local women who are delighted to
give up their work in the fields. China's one-child policy means
that many women are unable to have a longed-for second child - and
fostering is a real
joy to them.
News and pictures of our baby(ies) will be posted on the site at
regular intervals so you can enjoy watching them blossom!
Cost to the Chinababe fund per baby is £18 per month - £216
a year. Please help us to continue this work by making a donation
of whatever you can afford .
We are not asking you to sponsor an individual child yourself (although
we can arrange this if you wish), but to join in an SGS team effort.
